Airtel Partners with Axis bank to launch Credit Cards
Bharti Airtel and Axis Bank on Monday announced a partnership to provide financial services, starting with a co-branded credit card for the telecom service company’s subscribers. Under the partnership, the companies will offer pre-approved instant loans, “buy now, pay later” offers, and other services. This partnership will provide Axis Bank with the support it needs to penetrate deeper into Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets, according to a statement.
Chief executive officer and Managing Director of Bharti Airtel for India and South Asia, Gopal Vittal, say Airtel is building a portfolio of financial services as part of its drive to deliver world-class digital services world for its customers.
“We are thrilled to partner with Axis Bank on this exciting journey. Through this partnership with this win-win telecombank, Airtel customers will have access to Axis Bank’s world-class financial services portfolio and exclusive benefits, while the Axis Bank will enjoy the benefit from Airtel’s strong digital capabilities and distribution reach,” he said.
The partnership begins with the launch of the “Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card” that promises cashback and special discounts to customers.
The credit card holders of the Airtel Axis Bank will enjoy all the exciting rewards on their spending such as-
Airtel Black and Airtel Xstream Fiber payments – 25% cash back on addition, discover Airtel Mobile/DTH recharges,
On electricity/gas/water bill payments via Airtel Thanks app – 10% cash back
On spending with preferred merchants – Big-Basket, Swiggy, and Zomato – 10% cash back
On all other spendings – 1% cash back
E- voucher of Amazon INR 500 will be issued within 30 days of issuance after card activation.
The Airtel Axis Credit Card will be exclusively available for the eligible Airtel customers on Airtel Thanks App through a seamless digital journey.
The Axis Bank will additionally leverage Airtel’s suite of virtual offerings along with its C-PaaS platform – Airtel IQ, which pass over the voice, video, call masking messaging, streaming, and virtual contact Centre solutions, to enhance digital capabilities. Axis Bank may also use numerous cyber safety offerings from Airtel. Going ahead, the groups will, in addition, discover participating throughout Cloud and Data Center offerings.
